Ugh.

 I thought about starting this entry with a news recap, since I'm preoccupied current events, like everyone else. "Current events" is an insipid euphemism for the wave of death, destruction, and authoritarian nightmares we're living through. Doom scrolling indeed. Even a normal election season would outpace any cogent sentences I could muster up. This is why I'm not active on Twitter. 

Bryan and I yell "Did you hear about this?" at one another across the couch several times a week, the other bracing for impact. On Friday night, we put our phones away and settled into What We Do In the Shadows, only to learn a few hours later than most that Chadwick Boseman passed away. 

As my friend Calandra put it - What is 2020 trying to tell us? 

It rained through the early afternoon Saturday, so I stayed in an organized my small recurring donations to grassroots voting organizations. The next step is volunteering for phone banking.
